Micro-regulation

Explanation: Micro-regulation happens when one partner tries to control every part of the other partner's life. They set strict rules and make the other person scared of breaking them. If the rules are not followed, there can be punishments, causing the controlled partner to live in constant fear.

Example: The abuser may tell the victim what to wear, control who they talk to, and watch their daily actions. This includes looking at their phone and showing up at their job without warning.
