Course Goals

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Define coercive control and identify its key characteristics in the context of the immigrant family systems.
  • Identify and analyze unique factors that contribute to coercive control within the immigrant family systems.
  • Identify and describe common tactics used in coercive control within the immigrant family systems.
  • Identify indicators of coercive control within the context of an immigrant family, using the Aziz family case study as a practical example.
